Quarks Bytes ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Video Caption Adder mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use our App.

Video Caption Adder is an Android and iOS application that lets users import a video and add captions, voiceovers, and other edits to it. Auto-captioning (speech-to-text), translation of captions to English, text-to-speech voiceovers, and speaker detection are all performed by on-device machine learning models bundled with the App. Video processing and export (burning in captions, mixing audio, cropping, watermarking, trimming) is performed locally using an on-device video processing engine. None of this processing requires account registration, and none of it sends your video, audio, or generated captions to Quarks Bytes or to any cloud service operated by us.
Video Caption Adder does not require users to create an account and does not intentionally collect personal information such as:
Videos, images, audio tracks, captions, and any edits you create within the App are processed and stored locally on your device. This includes speech transcription, caption translation, text-to-speech voiceover generation, and speaker detection, all of which run entirely on-device using bundled machine learning models. Quarks Bytes does not receive, store, or access your videos, images, audio, or editing activity through the App.
The App itself does not intentionally collect device identifiers or device information for its own purposes. However, third-party advertising providers may collect certain information as described below.
The App requests permission to access media on your device — such as videos, images, and audio files — in order to let you import a video to caption, choose a watermark/logo image, choose a background music track, and save your exported video. This access is used solely to enable the core functionality of the App and is not used to collect or transmit your files to Quarks Bytes.
On some platforms the App's installer may declare a microphone or speech recognition permission in connection with caption-related features. The App does not record audio through your device's microphone: captions are generated entirely on-device from the audio track already contained in the video you import, and no audio is transmitted anywhere.
Video Caption Adder displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the App.
